And you want to bring a small gift? Consider bringing some CD's or DVD's - of course, you need to check on what equipment is at the lakeplace. Or bring the ingredients to a favorite recipe AND the recipe on a card to leave behind. Or try to presonalize a gift, such as, a set of playing cards from alma maters of the host family.

Why “lakeplace" and not “cabin" living?  

Because everyone’s place on the lake is a different type of structure.  A "lakeplace" can range from a small, simple cabin that offers no more than a roof and a few amenities, to an elaborate fully-functioning second home.  People usually think of a lakeplace as a nicer structure than a cabin but “lakeplace” does encompass all types of structures.  "Cabin" usually means a smaller building.  At Lakeplaceliving.com the structure is not the focus; the living we do there is the focus.  Lakeplace is the destination you have that holds a special place in your heart because you relax when you are there --taking in the water, sun and trees, and you can pause the treadmill of life for a bit.
